The Real Estate Organization (REO) is the premier organization for students interested in investment real estate markets, analysis and professions.
REO educates, connects and advances its members across the commercial real estate industry, including development, brokerage, management, consulting and capital allocation.
REO provides its members with opportunities to personally interact with commercial real estate industry professionals, observe real estate projects first-hand and practically analyze real estate markets and investments.
Jared P. Harrell, JD joined Texas Tech University in 2015 as an Assistant Professor of Practice, where he brings his experience as a real estate lawyer into the classroom. As an attorney, his legal practice focused on the successful completion of transactions by combining real estate experience with an understanding of finance and transactional economics. Professor Harrell holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Texas A&M, a law degree from the University of Texas and a Master’s of Law and Finance from the University of Oxford.
Dr. Buschbom received both his B.B.A. in Real Estate and his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in real estate and a minor in finance from the University of Georgia. Prior to starting his Ph.D., he worked at Voya Investment Management in Atlanta for six years, where he started as an analyst and left as an assistant portfolio manager. His areas of research expertise are real estate finance and investment, mortgage-backed securities, urban economics and spatial economics.
Kirsten is from Frisco, Texas. She is a Senior, majoring in Finance with a Real Estate Concentration and Management with an Entrepreneurship Concentration. Following graduation in May 2022, she will be working as a Commercial Real Estate Loan Portfolio Analyst for NorthMarq in Dallas, Texas.
Monty “Jordan” Buck is from Dallas, Texas. He is a senior majoring in Finance. Jordan is a licensed real estate agent in Texas and works as a leasing agent at Tech Terrace Real Estate in Lubbock. Upon graduation in May 2022, he is looking to pursue a career in real estate private equity.
Grant Fleming is from El Paso, Texas and is currently studying Finance at Texas Tech University. Post undergrad, Grant plans to study law and pursue a career in real estate law.
Emily Anderson is from Dallas, Texas. She is a Senior Finance major getting her Real Estate Certificate. She will complete her undergrad in May 2022 and will continue her education and graduate with a Master’s in Finance in May of 2023. Following graduation in 2022, Emily will begin a summer internship with NorthMarq on their Debt/Equity Production team in Dallas, Texas.
Roque Alaniz is from Edinburg, Texas. He is a Junior, majoring in Finance with a Real Estate Concentration. He is also currently studying to get his TREC license and plans to pursue a career in Commercial Real Estate Development upon graduating from Texas Tech.
Dillon Villarreal is from Plano, Texas. He is a senior pursuing undergraduate degrees in Management and Finance with a Real Estate concentration. He just completed an internship with Highland Homes in Dallas. Upon graduation in May 2022, he plans to work in real estate construction.
Panashé Siachitema is originally from Zimbabwe and will graduate with his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in May 2022. After graduation, he intends to pursue an MBA at the Rawls College of Business with a unique focus on real estate.
